Unlike the Metropolitan Police, the Norfolk Constabulary have a crested style helmet instead of a plain one.
Norfolk county constabulary had been founded in 1839, under the County Police Act 1839, and was one of the first county forces to be formed.

A partnership with Stapleton's Tyre Services has enabled Norfolk Constabulary to become the first force in the UK to receive the latest technology digital tyre pressure and tread depth gauges in a specially developed kit which has been pioneered by the Tyre Industry Council.
The TIC kits will help Norfolk road policing officers in ensuring that they can accurately monitor the condition of tyres on vehicles that they check on a regular basis".
The most recent roadside tyre check undertaken with Norfolk Constabulary has shown that 10% of cars and vans checked had at least one defective tyres, a further 13% had a worn tyre below 2mm.
