It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election.
It has been represented by Liberal Democrat Norman Lamb since the 2001 general election and was previously held by a Conservative.

North Belfast currently has one of the smallest electorates of any constituency in Northern Ireland and it is proposed to expand it further into Newtownabbey, taking in areas currently contained in both East Antrim (constituency) and South Antrim (constituency).
In the UK general election, 1974 (February) the seat was won by John Carson of the Ulster Unionist Party with backing by the Vanguard Progressive Unionist Party and the Democratic Unionist Party on a united slate in opposition to the Sunningdale Agreement.

I have a copy of the report to the board of the Norfolk and Waveney Mental Health Partnership NHS trust, which refers to potential options for Cygnet house, including the refurbishment of the facility and its use as a care unit for the whole of central Norfolk.
Member for North Norfolk that Norfolk's demographic profile is old and that in many cases it is getting older—people move to many parts of my constituency in order to retire—so dementia services will grow, not decline, in importance.

Friday was even busier with a briefing from the NFU in North Walsham, followed by half an hour on North Norfolk Radio, a speech to Norfolk County Councillors and speaking at the starting of a new branch of the Conservative Association.

- Any young person who is a resident of the UK, and aged between 11 and 18 years old (inclusive) has the right to stand for election as an MYP and the right to vote for their MYP.
The number of MYPs allocated to each constituency varies depending upon the number of young people who live in that area.

A few years ago London devolved some powers to newly created parliaments there but I believe their powers are significantly less than those of Canadian provinces and I believe they do not have powers of direct (income) taxation (someone from the UK might clarify).

Surely one of the reaons for objecting to it is the fact that a Constitution implies Statehood and we do not believe the UK should be signing up to a United States of Europe.
Matt was Area Campaign Director in Norfolk & Suffolk before he was made Dirctor of the Party in Wales at the grand old age of 28.
Congratulations are in order, but North Norfolk will have to get used to seeing a lot less of its MP if he is to fulfill his role on the LibDem front bench properly.
