If a FEDERATION champion shall fail, without reason sufficient and satisfactory to the Committee, to fulfill on schedule his contractual obligation to engage in a FEDERATION championship contest, the Committee shall declare his title to be forfeited and the championship in his weight class to be vacant.
All injuries in boxing gyms should be reported to the local boxing commissions, and an examination of accidents, as well as any other condition that would endanger the safety and welfare of the boxer.

It was a night of firsts in Southern California - the first boxing event promoted by Ten Goose Sports, and the first television exposure in the United States for young prospect Jhonny Gonzalez of Mexico City.
In a fight televised on ESPN2's "Friday Night Fights," Gonzalez, now 14-2, with 11 knockouts, won the vacant North American Boxing Federation bantamweight title with an impressive tenth-round TKO victory against tough and determined Ablorh Sowah, 16-3-1, with 9 knockouts, of Accra, Ghana.
Jhonny, ranked No. 14 by the World Boxing Council, scored a knockdown in the tenth round and stopped Sowah after a series of punches at 2:38 of the round.

NORTH American Boxing Federation (NABF) champion Ben "wonder" Tackie of Ghana, will step up his claim for the undisputed world title with a 12-round unification fight against U.S.B.A 140 pound champion Teddy Reid on January 18, next year.
Reid will stake his USBA championship belt against Tackie’s NABF version in a winner-takes-all deal that will also pave the way for a big money fight against undisputed world champion, Kostya Tszyu of Australia.
The camp of Tackie has agreed to the terms of Teddy Reid, also rated by the IBF, for the winner of the January 18 fight in the U.S, to have a mandatory shot at Kostya Tszyu’s titles later in the year.

In the co-feature, Peter Manfredo of nearby Providence, RI won the vacant North American Boxing Organization junior middleweight title with a sixth-round stoppage of previously unbeaten Sherwin Davis of Indianapolis.
In the sixth round, Manfredo landed a hard overhand right that put Davis on his back and referee John Callas stopped the fight without a count at 1:17.
