In April 2001 we sold our house and bought a rural property (located outside of Hallville in the Township of North Dundas, Ontario) and starting a gentleman farming operation.
In a matter of weeks we went from a one dog family to owning two dogs and three cats and are now steady state with two dogs, two cats, one rat, one fish and a coopful of chickens.
