Hobart is the state capital and most populous city of the Australian island state of Tasmania.
Hobart is internationally famous among the yachting fraternity as the finish of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race which starts in Sydney on Boxing Day (the day after Christmas Day).
Hobart is the finish point of the Targa Tasmania rally car event held annually in April since 1991.

Hobart is home to one of Indiana's largest indoor shopping malls: Westfield Shoppingtown Southlake, located in the southern part of the city near the intersection of US 30 and Interstate 65.
Hobart residents drive 15 minutes west to visit casino boats on Lake Michigan and 15 minutes east to visit the national lakeshore, which is approximately 15 thousand acres containing beaches, sand dunes, bogs, and protected wildlife.
The nearest airports serving Hobart are the Gary/Chicago International Airport (GYY) in Gary and Midway and O'Hare Airports in nearby Chicago, Illinois.

On the same afternoon in front of 15,310 spectators at North Hobart Oval Victoria’s ‘B’ team overcame a stern 3rd quarter challenge from Tasmania, which got within 5 points at one stage, to pull away in the end to an emphatic 42 point victory, 11.19 (85) to 5.13 (43).
In Tasmania, North Hobart’s dominance at both TFL and state level continued.
