Brooks Robinson was born in Little Rock in 1937 and is generally believed to be the greatest third baseman in major league history.

North Little Rock is a city located in central Arkansas across the Arkansas River from Little Rock in Pulaski County.
North Little Rock, along with Little Rock, anchors the six-county Little Rock-North Little Rock, Arkansas Metropolitan Statistical Area (2005 population — 643,272), which is further included in the Little Rock-North Little Rock-Pine Bluff, Arkansas Combined Statistical Area (2005 population — 819,469).
Neighboring unincorporated North Little Rock was established by 1901, and by 1904, the Arkansas Supreme Court allowed the city of Argenta to annex the former eighth ward of Little Rock, also known as Argenta.

The Arkansas Allergy Clinic was established in 1930 by Alan G. Cazort, M.D., considered the "Father of Allergy" in Arkansas and one of the pioneer clinical allergists in the United States.
Upon his graduation from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, in 1922 and from the Arkansas College of Medicine in Little Rock in 1928, he took clinic apprenticeships in the offices of experts in the field of allergy, as formal allergy teaching programs were uncommon at that time.
The six physicians of the Arkansas Allergy and Asthma Clinic, all of whom are Board Certified allergists, specializing in the problems related to allergy and clinical immunology, have tried to maintain the same traditions of service and quality patient care that Dr. Cazort started over 60 years ago.
