Bounded by the Capilano River to the west, Indian Arm to the east, Burrard Inlet to the south, and the North Shore Mountains to the north, it sprawls in an east-west direction across the mountain slopes, characterized by rugged terrain and steep and winding roadways.
North Vancouver is also the birth place of "Shore Riding"; a specific style of riding that involves hand made ladders, bridges and logs.
Some of North Vancouver's local drinking establishments were immortalized in "The Crawl," a song by local folk-rock band Spirit of the West which recounts a pub crawl across the North Shore.

Although viewing conditions weren't great (a full moon and a lot of light pollution), they were taking advantage of their schedules, and the clear weather, to do a little skywatching.
When Pete first saw the object it was due north, about 45 degrees above the horizon, and was only in view about 5 seconds before it disappeared behind the roof of the condominium.

At first I thought they were planets because of how large they were, they could actually be seen in the night sky - we don't see alot of stars in Vancouver due to the city lights - and the objects were changing colors and flickering.
I looked west out over the West End of Vancouver and saw another one - same height in the sky - in a triangle formation - an equilateral triangle.
I have seen many UFOs in Vancouver and elsewhere in Canada since I was a young child.
