		Although Staley built it, North Wilkesboro has long been known as "Junior's House" or "The House that Junior Built." That refers to the legendary Junior Johnson, who enjoyed marked success both as a driver and as a car owner on the little track that was built almost in his back yard.
		Before going to North Wilkesboro, my only exposure to live, on track racing had been several trips to Pocono, and I was foolishly unprepared for the noise of short track racing, but I learned fast.
