Liaoning University is located in the northern part of Shenyang city of Liaoning Province, a famous historic city of China, which is the center of Liaoning’s economy, politics, culture and traffic.
Liaoning University was established on September 15, 1958, whose predecessor was an amalgamation of Northeastern Financial and Economic College, the former Shenyang teachers College, and Shenyang Russian Language College.
Liaoning University has a highly qualified teaching staff, among its 984 full-time teachers, 496 are professors and associate professors, some of which are experts and scholars of great attainments, wellknown in both domestic and international academic circles.

Shenyang Normal University, originated from Northeast Education Institute, is a tertiary normal university of Liaoning Province.
It was established in 1951 and was one of the two oldest normal universities in Northeastern China.
