This is a list of members of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly from 1974 to 1977.
It is important to note that this first Assembly only had limited powers, as the Northern Territory was not granted self-government until 1978.
CLP member Bernie Kilgariff resigned to contest a seat in the Australian Senate on July 16, 1975; CLP candidate Eric Manuell won the resulting by-election on February 7, 1976.

A notice advising that a redistribution was to commence in the Northern Territory was published in the Gazette of 2 February 2000.
The Divisional Returning Officer (DRO) for the Division of the Northern Territory was asked to examine the ABS projections in the light of his local knowledge and experience, and to substitute his own projections where appropriate.
The suggestion that the Northern Territory be divided into Eastern and Western Divisions broadly using the Stuart Highway as a boundary was not supported by the Redistribution Committee.

The government has been copping heat locally over "land grab" legislation allowing it to rezone privately owned bushland as public open space, and a decision to review the proposal in early December was widely seen as an attempt to defuse the issue in the lead-up to the election.
In the south are the suburbs of Ocean Reef and Currambine, formerly in Joondalup; in the north are Mindarie, Quinns Rocks and Clarkson, formerly of Wanneroo.
Its only coastal territory is a 400 kilometre stretch of the south coast ending at the South Australian border, and the main population centres are the inland towns of Leonara, Kambalda and Norseman.

Northern Ireland is pretty much a no go area for the mainstream British parties and you see far more use of flags there - generally as sectarian symbols.
And, for an administration struggling to cover up their feeble attempts to turn a sluggish economy around and remove free speech and benefits rights from more than half the population, war, patriotism and, lest we forget, Terri Schiavo, are excellent distractions from what's really going on.

Thanks go to those members that have responded to the draft partnership agreements that the Association intends to use as a basis for negotiation with the Northern Territory Government, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission and Aboriginal and Torres Islander Services.
