Northern Lights is a common name for the polar aurorae in the northern hemisphere.
Northern Lights, a song by Renaissance from the album A Song for All Seasons (1978) which became a surprise hit when released as a single.
The song refers not to the aurorae but to the lights of England's northern cities which the narrator is leaving behind.
