Northumberland Park station opened on 15th September 1840 as a Halt on the Northern and Eastern Railway.
The operating depot of London Underground's Victoria Line was constructed alongside it during the late 1960s.
A plan was promoted by the Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone to change the depot runs of Victoria Line Trains from Seven Sisters to public services, transporting passengers to the nearby Tottenham Hotspur F.C., but nothing has come of it.

This was originally considered as a way to serve a proposed athletics stadium at nearby Pickett's Lock; that proposal fell by the wayside several years ago and this extension was considered poor value for money (Nov 2003).

My dad, Fred Curtis, was a salesman, then sales supervisor for Lyons Bakery at the Tottenham depot (Northumberland Park) from some time in the '50s until about '72 - '73 when the depot closed (or at least the Bakery side did), the department moved to Greenford, and he took redundancy.
He then became a postman, retired in the mid 80s, and died in 1991.
Thought to be taken in the early 60's.
