User reviews for Notepad2 at SnapFiles.com - Quality Software Downloads
Notepad2 is a small and fast editor with syntax highlighting for HTML and other common languages and many other useful features, including drag and drop, regular expression search and replace, brace...
The types of files NotePad2 handles and the fact that they're all in their own, relevant style is cool but customizing these options is much harder than it needs to be.
All in all; Notepad2 doesn't really excel at much of anything but it doesn't drop the ball on anything either making it a good, solid, text editor that will remain as one of the two or three on my hard drive.

 Florian Balmer's Notepad2 - dekstop weblog
One flaw of Notepad2 is the chaotic menu structure which makes navigation harder than it should be; there are 144 menu entries listed in only four dropdown menus.
SciTE is an improvement over that, but a step back as well: it uses the excellent Scintilla text edit control (which is also used in Notepad2), but it does not add a default file extension when saving a file, and the UI is a mess.
So I expect that Notepad2 will be the text editor of my choice for a long time; I have made a custom version with some modifications to reorganize the application menu entries, and now I'm happy.

 Notepad2 Review - Notepad2 Download
Notepad2 tries to follow this principle; it's a small, fast and free text editor with syntax highlighting for HTML and other common languages.
Nowadays, specialized companies tend to fight for the supremacy as to what text editing is concerned, and don’t spend so much time and effort to improve the basic note editor; thus, newer text editors take up more and more computer resources, and an older configuration isn’t able to run them.
Notepad2 is certainly not an advanced text editor, but it does a great job managing your notes, scripts and simple text.

In my previous post about Notepad2 (Notepad2 with Syntax highlighting for Ruby, YAML, Bash and Conf), I posted a modified version of the Notepad2 editor which included syntax highlighting for Ruby and some other languages.
I have now extended Scintilla’s Ruby lexer and Notepad2 to support seperate syntax highlighting for symbols, instance variables, class variables and global variables.
I too love Notepad2 but it has a bug which bothers me. When you paste a large amount of text into a new document with word wrap enabled and then save the file, Notepad2 will crash.
