Using the records that were gathered together from the cemetery in July of 2003, I have compiled a list of names, dates, military history, and lot numbers for the entire Notre Dame Cemetery.
The earliest person that I found buried in the Notre Dame Cemetery had a head stone that only had a last name and dates on it.
The Notre Dame Cemetery is located on approximately 14 acres of land off of Pine Street in Springvale.

The second photo is of the Main Altar at Notre Dame until it was removed around 1974 when the sanctuary was moved forward during the major renovation.
Notre Dame des Canadiens at Salem Square was the mother Catholic church of four French-speaking parishes.
When a fire burned that church down, the land was sold to a Baptist Church where the Notre Dame patrons worshipped until the present church was constructed in 1929.

Fontaine-Notre Dame is a village approximately 3 kilometres south-west of Cambrai on the main road from Cambrai to Bapaume (N30).
The Cemetery is signposted from the N30 in the village and is located on the right hand side of the road towards Raillencourt.
The village of Fontaine-Notre Dame was captured for a short time on 21 November 1917 by the 51st (Highland) Division, and again by the Guards Division on 27 November, but it then remained in German hands until the 3rd and 4th Canadian and 57th Divisions retook it on 27 September 1918.

In 1896 the Merchant family of Marion, Ohio erected what they thought would be a beautiful and fitting grave monument for their plot in the Marion Cemetery.
Located in Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City is the Feldevert Monument, which locals call the Black Angel.
This is one of two gravestones in the cemetery marked "specimens." Since all of the other gravestones in this particular cemetery are marked with name and dates of birth and death, Beth thinks perhaps the "specimen" graves contain cadavers used for medical training.

I am aware of a few cemeteries in stormont which have been copied by the THE STORMONT DUNDAS AND GLENGARRY GENEALOGY SOCIETY, namely Woodlawn and St. Lawrence Union and probably a few others but I have no details on which ones were actually done or how completely.
Only those cemeteries in Stormont County which are so indicated by a year date have been copied by us.
Note: This cemetery was redone in 1993, the old markers removed and replaced with new ones.

Part of the cemetery was dug up and used as Quarry, which was used to actually fill the road leading down to the cemetery.
The majority of the cemetery still stands, with a handful of original tombstones, we have a rough idea of who is buried there but there are many graves that we have found using dowsing which no one was aware of.
The cemetery was affiliated with the Zion Methodist Church, prior to that it was know as Ventress cemetery, also known as Harvey Cemetery, Gypsy Point Cemetery and Nogey's Creek Cemetery.
