	West Nottingham Township, Chester County PA
		West Nottingham Township was originally part of the land grant given to William Penn, establishing Pennsylvania (and Chester County) in 1682.
		In addition to numerous troop movements through the Township, a large division of the American Army under the command of General Smallwood occupied the area around Nottingham, where the Nottingham Friends Meeting was used by the soldiers as a hospital.
		Nottingham village grew significantly after August 1866 when the Philadelphia and Baltimore Central Railroad built a station in the community, and additional commercial activity was brought to the village with the extension of a telegraph line and opening of a telegraph office at the train station in April 1877.

	Center Township Cemeteries
		According to state law, every township trustee is responsible for care and upkeep of abandoned cemeteries within the township's borders.
		In Center Township (Delaware County) there are currently three cemeteries which the trustee maintains: Collins Cemetery on the West side of Muncie, Blowers Cemetery which is located near the Crest View Golf Course in South Central Muncie, and Parker-Moore Cemetery located just off Memorial Ave.
		The Center Township board changed the name back to Blowers Cemetery in 2005 at the request of the surviving Carmichael family members to honor the original owners.
