	The Trial for the Rights to Nova
		From November 15-17, 1999, a trial was held in bankruptcy court (Marvel Comics was in Chapter 11 bankruptcy at the time) to determine ownership of the Nova character; Nova's creator, Marv Wolfman, or Marvel Comics, the publisher of Nova's comics.
		In 1967, Wolfman obtained a copyright registration, which we have a certified copy of for the Court, for the character Nova, which was published in a comic book that he, himself, published in 1967.
		By contrast, Nova was not created during battle, but as a result of a search for a successor hero by the Centurion, Nova Prime.

		If the 1976 origin story of Marvel Comics' Nova (alien law enforcer transfers power to an earth person just as he dies) sounds familiar, it's because Green Lantern used that one in 1959.
		It was in Nova #1 (September, 1976) that Richard Rider, a student at Harry S. Truman High School, got zapped by Rhomann Dey, a Centurian of the Nova Corps, who was orbiting overhead.
		Since Nova no longer had his own title, it was okay to send his life careening in directions untenable for a series character.

		Genius.); a bold and hilarious ficto-history of South Melbourne from Adam Ford; Kirrily Schell's wry and poetic 'Toots'; the all-too-short 3D animation treatment of Dillon Naylor's little girl vampire 'Batrisha'; hard devil-rockin'-music clips from Glenn Smith and Ross Tesoriero, all culminating in David Blumenstein's local classic, 'Herman, The Legal Labrador'.
		Kudos also is due to Monsieur Blumenstein for his 'curating', or 'sequencing', or 'getting the films into an order of some sort', because it was put together like a good set of music - following rhythms, breaking them up, giving you a bit of a surprise from one piece to the next.
