NovaBUS, Inc. (www.novabus.com /english/about/history) was discussed in the first issue of Roswell Web Magazine, accessible on the Internet since January 30.
Roswell's NovaBUS realized this some time ago and attempted to design a low-floor model but for some reason, was not able to follow through.
Roswell's NovaBUS plant is experiencing serious financial difficulties and needs to close operations, but it has outstanding contracts to manufacture buses not yet begun on the assembly line.
A ñ The NovaBus was tested on DI, and MossGas diesel fuels.
The hybrid buses had a rate of miles between road-calls that was 54% lower than the NovaBUS RTS diesel buses for all road-calls and 80% lower for engine and fuel related road-calls.
The reduction in usage of the hybrid buses was a direct result of the need to service the buses and the extra time required to coordinate with the manufacturers to troubleshoot and fix those problems.
I just browsed a Metro Magazine article and found out the bus used by KCATA for "MAX" is made by Gillig and based on their low floor model.
Gene was referring to the fact that the Novas (and Orion VIs, for that matter), because they were supposedly "true low floors" had the engine in a closet on the left side of the bus, instead of under the rear seats.
The last 140 flx's we have have the same seating arrangement, wiring, placement of the destination sign control panel, and driver's control as the Nova classics that we have.

Following the demonstration of the demonstrator RTS #1000 from NovaBUS, the TTC decided to order 52 NovaBUS RTS which are constructed from stainless steel.
This is the TTC's first order from the NovaBUS Corporation, a difference from other TTC buses in the fleet are that this model has the wheelchair ramp at the rear doors rather than at the front doors.
This model was the first of the TTC buses to have installed in it the LED Luminator destination signs which can be seen more clearly from a distance.
