The capture of the Noveleta Tribunal on August 31, 1896 was led by Mariano Alvarez, founder and president of the Sangguniang Bayan Magdiwang.
Noveleta is the smallest town of Cavite province.
Noveleta has a total land area of 604.01 hectares, which is roughly 0.47% of the total land area of the province of Cavite.

Noveleta is the smallest town of Cavite Province having a land area of 541 hectares, formerly a part of mother municipality, Kawit.
Located at the northwestern part of the Province, it is bounded on the north by Cavite City, on the east by Kawit, in southeast and southwest by Gen. Trias and Rosario, respectively, and in the west by Manila Bay.
Noveleta was a former barrio of Kawit which later became an independent municipality on January 5, 1868.

Cavite City was called “Puerto de Cavite” (Port of Cavite), during the early part of the Spanish rule, being a port of entry and departure for Spanish and foreign ships.
Well-known for its magnificent view of the sunset, Cavite City is bounded on the north and west by Manila Bay, on the east by Cañacao Bay, on the south by Noveleta and on the southeast by Bacoor Bay.
