According to some sources, Frogmouths are a member of the nightjar family I seem to recall, from what I have read over the past there is a lot of confusion as to their status as an owl.
We had some friends visiting and were sitting on the deck, and were just blown away by what were obviously some sort of falcony thing, but with this bizarre crest.

Sky watchers spotted weird ring-shaped auroras, auroras in Arizona, auroras in Tasmania, and some that were positively spooky.
