Sarajevo, 13 September, 1997 (AIM) - In municipality 'Novi grad' Sarajevo, there are 62.000 registered voters, who will vote at 52 poll points, of which, 10 points are reserved for persons voting in absence.
The point is that, at 10 mentioned palaces there are not enough poll ballots (municipality Vlasenica, for example).
Jasmina Cengic-Sahinagic, President Local Election Commission Novi grad, stated that voters are very unsatisfied, even to the point of violent behavior at one poll point.(End)

Bosanski novi/Novi Grad [1] (Serbian Cyrillic: Нови Град), is a city and municipality in northwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It is situated on the river Una on the border with Croatia (across the town of Dvor), near the towns of Prijedor, Bosanska Krupa and Kostajnica.

Centar Municipality is located in central Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, between the older parts of the city under Stari Grad Municipality, and the newer more modern parts of the city under the Municipalities Novi Grad and Novo Sarajevo.
Although some of these may be disputed, Centar Municipality is certainly the most important part of Sarajevo, housing most major branches of the city and national governments.

The Municipality of Voždovac covers an area of 14,864 hectares, which is inhabited by a population of around 167,000.
The location of the present-day Municipality of Voždovac is the place from which the leader-Vožd Karađorđe led his rebels and, in 1806, liberated Belgrade from the Turks for the first time.

Following the attacks on the municipalities, Bosnian Serb forces rounded up tens of thousands of Bosnian Muslims and Bosnian Croats and forced them to march to assembly points, for transfer to the camps and detention facilities.
