George W. Bush - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There are a number of accounts of substance abuse and otherwise disorderly conduct by Bush from this time.
Bush's imposition of a tariff on imported steel and on Canadian softwood lumber was controversial in light of his advocacy of free market policies in other areas; this attracted criticism both from his fellow conservatives and from nations affected.
Following news of a second plane crashing, Bush remained with the class for seven minutes while they finished reading a story and then left the school and flew to an air base, before returning to Washington, D.C. in the late afternoon.

 Prime numbers
The mathematicians of Pythagoras's school (500 BC to 300 BC) were interested in numbers for their mystical and numerological properties.
A pair of amicable numbers is a pair like 220 and 284 such that the proper divisors of one number sum to the other and vice versa.
The statement that the density of primes is 1/log(n) is known as the Prime Number Theorem.

A purported Taliban spokesman claimed its militia shot the plane down on Saturday in Kandahar province, but British Defense Secretary Des Browne said the crash appeared to be "a terrible accident." NATO said the plane had reported a technical problem before crashing.
Britain's Defense Ministry said the plane was a Nimrod MR2 maritime patrol aircraft that is often used for reconnaissance and communications.
The plane was carrying out reconnaissance in support of "Operation Medusa" launched Saturday in Panjwayi district by NATO and Afghan army forces to clear the area of a pocket of Taliban militants who had been staying there for the past month, Innis said.

Even better was the change in the number of fatal accidents, going from 352 in 2003 to 312 in 2004.

 CNN.com - Plane's wreckage puzzles investigators - May 21, 2004
Moira Wade tapes flowers to a pole that marks where the cockpit of her brother's plane was found after it crashed in 2002.
The marks were on many pieces of the airframe, concentrated on the skin of the plane forward of the main landing gear on the pilot's side of the plane, but also on other places on the plane.
Radar data also indicate the planes did not collide, showing the two planes never came closer than 1,000 feet in altitude or a mile horizontally and "never crossed paths," the report reads.

India aims to fly hypersonic plane in 2007
Indian defence scientists are aiming to build a plane designed to cruise at speeds three times faster than existing fighter aircraft while consuming less fuel.
"The scramjet engine takes in oxygen from the atmosphere, liquefies it and uses it for the cryogenic engine, improving the efficiency of the plane by several factors because the weight of the fuel, particularly for long distances, constitutes around 70 per cent of the total weight of the aircraft," officials said.
Incidentally, the country is in race with the US, Japan, Russia and China to build a hypersonic plane which is expected to revolutionise low cost space travel.

 U-21 Ute
The first missions involving this new relay system proved that a secure voice radio link of 140 nautical miles could be readily established at an altitude of only 3,500 feet.
Since the Army's U-21 plane can stay aloft on station for several hours at a much higher altitude, the occasions when a small unit or long-range patrol was without communications were virtually nonexistent.
The Army aviation's overall goal relative to the fixed wing fleet is to reduce the current number of models from 21 to 4, including procurement of a new C-XX Short Range (SR) to perform missions currently performed by U-21, et al.

The range of aircraft that X-Plane is capable of simulating is massive: light planes (such as clunky old Cessna's), radio controlled planes, C-5 Galaxy super haulers and even GDI Orcas from Command and Conquer all fly in a realistic fashion.
You neglected to mention that you CAN make this an 'arcade' sim with a few changes to realism settings...download a few scenery packs (the 3m satellite ones are hooootttt) and you have a game with tons of replay value...if youve got the storage space, you can fly all the way around the world.
X-Plane has a "plane creation" tool included with the product that allows anyone to create aircraft in x-plane, or to be able to modify the ones they have, including modifying panels.

And just like last time, the youth are apparently at risk of being corrupted not by the violence of the fare in question, but by the nasty language the people on screen use in between bouts of violence.
The documentary in question this time, 9/11, is a fairly straightforward account of the events in Lower Manhattan that day in 2001, and contains the only known video footage of the first plane strike -- shot by two French filmmakers making a documentary about New York firefighters in Lower Manhattan that morning.
As you can imagine, amid the confusion and chaos, the firefighters uttered a few choice turns of phrase, and it's this bit of history that some cultural prudes want bleeped out.
