  Nuremberg - Wikipedia
Nuremberg is the English name for Nürnberg, a city in Germany, in the state of Bavaria, in the administrative region of Middle Franconia.
From 1050 to 1571, the city was a regular stop on the progression of the Holy Roman Emperor, particularly because Reichstage (Imperial Diets) and courts met at Nuremberg Castle[?].
The Diets of Nuremberg were an important part of the administrative structure of the empire.

Nuremberg Today - Germany And Austria
Nuremberg is set upon a series of small slopes in the midst of an undulating, sandy plain, some 900 feet above the sea.
The entrance to the Castle, it is surmised, was originally on the east side, at the foot of the lower plateau and through a tower which no longer exists.
The system of underground passages here and in the Castle was an important part of the defenses, affording as it did a means of communication with the outer world and as a last extremity, in the case of a siege, a means of escape.

 CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: Nuremberg
After the castle had been destroyed by fire in 1420 during a feud between Count Frederick (since 1417 Margrave of Brandenburg) and the Duke of Bavaria-Ingolstadt, the ruins and the forest belonging to the castle were purchased by the city (1427), which thereby became master of all that lay within its boundaries.
During the revolution of the princes against Charles V, in 1552, Nuremberg endeavoured to purchase its neutrality by the payment of 100,000 gulden; but Margrave Albert Alcibiades, one of the leaders of the revolt, attacked the city without declaring war and forced it to conclude a disadvantageous peace.
Nuremberg belongs to the Archdiocese of Bamberg and possesses notable churches.

Karlštejn Castle is to Prague and the Czech Republic what Windsor is to London and England.
Some schools of thought state that Charles built the Castle specifically to house the Bohemian Crown Jewels, but it seems more likely that the decision to move the Jewels here was taken after his coronation as Holy Roman Emperor in 1355, in which case much of the Castle had already been built.
The Castle was essentially complete by the time of the Hussite Wars when the Crown of St. Wenceslas was hastily taken from Prague Castle and removed to the relative safety of Karlštejn.
