  Nyssa of Traken - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nyssa was the daughter of Tremas, one of the Traken Union's Consuls.
Nyssa was subsequently transported to the planet Logopolis in the serial of the same name and witnessed her planet being consumed by a wave of entropy that was sweeping the universe.
Nyssa's fate after she left the TARDIS is not known, although the spin-off novel Asylum, by Peter Darvill-Evans, revealed that she eventually left Terminus and settled down as an academic in a university on an unspecified planet.

So Nyssa was brought home and we put her in her bed, which is one of those plastic kiddie pools that we line with a thin bed foam mattress covered by a waterproof tarp, which we then layer with soft cuddly & absorbent blankets (flannel & fleece are great).
Nyssa has made it through like a trooper so far, and is only 4 1/2 hours away from her next dose of Prednisone as I write this.
Nyssa handles her situation with grace, is full of love & is always upbeat; bouncing back with joy for life and all the num-nums & snuggles it brings.

Nyssa, "The Gateway to Oregon," was founded in 1883 near the Oregon Short Line Railroad as it pushed through southern Idaho and Eastern Oregon.
It served as a railroad watering station; a convenient point between Ontario and Parma for several years, and later grew into a trading station used by settlers along the Snake River and the Owyhee Ditch.
Two stories claim different ways the town got its name; the first says Nyssa is the Indian word meaning sagebrush, and was given that name by early residents and the second story is that Nyssa was given the name of a town in Greece by a railroad section hand.
