From this base she assembled a coalition of states in 1635, which included Matamba, Ndongo, Kongo, Kassanje, Dembos and Kissamas, with which she was able to keep the Portuguese at bay (Library of Congress 1996a, 1989e, Angolan Embassy 1996a).

Nzinga realized that, to remain viable, Ndongo had to reposition itself as an intermediary rather than a supply zone in the slave trade.

The problem with Nzinga is that she has so many different names and even more surnames, the most common spelling is Nzinga; but that is also a first name of many other people, sometimes her surname Mbande or royal title Ngola are included in her name.
When I created the article Ann Nzinga Mbande, I tried to be as specific in the title as possible to avoid confusion.
I would like to propose that Nzingha become a redirect page to Ann Nzinga Mbande, since the text there has already been merged and the title is more specific.
