		Ogm is an alternative audio/video storage format to the popular AVI format, allowing more advanced features such as built-in chapter points, subtitle(s) and multiple audio streams.
		The biggest problem with the Ogm format right now is that it is relatively unknown (compared to AVI), probably due to the lack of any "big name" conversion tools (in the vein of FlasK, Gordian Knot, etc).
		DVDtoOgm is a new DVD to Ogm conversion tool, designed to be familiar to users of Gordian Knot, and is compatible with both the DivX 5.x and XviD codec.

	OGM - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		OGM is, fundamentally, just a hack of the Ogg container format, which hasn't been designed to support files containing codecs not endorsed by Xiph.org (webpage).
		At first, a major drawback of OGM was that it was not open source even though it was based on and around an open source Ogg framework.
		OGM Media Files are used often with the XviD video compression, although once Theora is finished, it should be the best codec for the OGM format.

		Nope, you have to remove the streams (and they vary) from the OGM container and then transcode them into MPEG2, just google a guide on how to do it there is a few out there.
		I use TMPGEnc to create the OGM to Mpeg2, because in my opinion it is the best program available due to the fact that it is very flexible, easy to use and produces great results.
		Make sure you have a back up of your OGM before you begin just to be on the safe side.

		Ogm + aac seems to work great but Ogm playback with aac+ audio is very very slow.
		But in ogm if I choose jump to keyframe then the jump cannot be accurate while if I choose jump to non-keyframe the speed is terribly slow...

		supposedly it is stand-alone and it handles ogg, ogm, and a ton of other extensions.

		Just that they made an effort to define and standardize some stuff, where as Xiph prefers to let.ogg be a generic everything (audio or video with audio) and let developers do whatever they want.
		the only purpose for ogm i see can be a support for vorbis audio codec.
