		OS9 is an operating system based around Unix specifically targetted for MC6809 based processors, hence it is written in assembler rather than C.
		There are two OS9 variants for the 6809, Level 1 which is available for the Dragon supports up to 64K of RAM and Level 2 which is available on the CoCo 3 supports up to 16MB of RAM by using special paging hardware to switch in 64K blocks of memory at a time.
		Source files are held as ASCII, whilst binary files are standard OS9 modules (more than 1 module may be held in a file, use utilities such as RIP to split them apart or load the file into memory then use the SAVE utility to save each module as a file).

		This font is not available on my OSX based Adrenaline and the client insists upon using it.
		It's easy enough to try one folder and then the other, I just didn't know if one was preferred over the other.
		The reason I listed both folders is because some programs look in one place and not in another and some carbon programs (Avid, Office) still have OS9 limitations on fonts.

		Although I have always been a huge supporter of partitioning for OSX and Os9, I am trying to decide in their case if they even need to.
		I sort of got stuck on thinking that partitioning was a good thing and was bound to setting up an OS9 partition that took too much time to figure out.

		Before installing OSX, I installed a light-weight OS9 on the second partition, then installed the beta on top, and used my light-weight OS9 as the Classic environment.

		After reboot it would not run os9 from hd3.

		It would seem that OS9 has reached it's demise as far as support, upgrades, and available software.
		OS X Tiger is just out and all new machines are shipped with it, but it seems not all programs and plug-ins are 100% compatible with it so before making your move you might want to do some research and possibly wait a while for the latest updates.
		Upgrading to X does not mean that you can't re-boot back into OS9 and use all that OS9 goodness....

		I'd like apple to release a firmware update to allow those PPC macs that have been rigged so they can't boot into OS9 to allow them to do so now that they've committed to Intel processors that can never run OS9 since it was and never will be written for x86.
		Ok, I only boot up OS9 once every few months, but I want to be able to do that once in a while - and it's much easier to fix OSX mods gone wrong from OS9 than single user mode!
		They use Illustrator 7 on OS9, but Classic runs way too slowly for me to use it on my Powerbook (we have G3s at work).
