	Ohio Valley Wrestling - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		OVW is mostly recognized for its up-and-coming wrestlers and serves as the official training ground for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
		OVW is run by owner Danny Davis and the organization was a member of the National Wrestling Alliance (as NWA Ohio Valley Championship Wrestling) from 1998 until 2001, when OVW became part of the WWE developmental program.
		OVW wrestlers are often used as jobbers, or "enhancement talents", for WWE to make their stars look better, particularly when WWE runs shows within a few hours of the Louisville area.

		With the announcement of a reformed ECW, it has been rumored that Ohio Valley Wrestling would be dropped as a WWE developmental territory, and that WWE would be purchasing the rights to it's footage of WWE superstars in their early days, including current WWE Heavyweight Champion John Cena.
		With this purchase of the entire OVW video archives, and with Paul Heyman moving from OVW to head up the new ECW project, it seems that OVW's status as a WWE developmental territory may soon come to an end.
		It's a shame about OVW, I always tried to keep up with what was happening each month but unless you live in Ohio and can therefore go each week (something I would probably do) then it's very difficult.
