		Captain Craig served as captain of the Ocean City Beach Patrol from 1935-1986.
		Early in the 1980’s, Captain Craig asked the Mayor and City Council to fund the cost of round trip air flights for him and 5 other guards to attend the world meeting and championships of the United States Lifesaving Association (USLA) held in San Clemente, California.
		This was granted and Ocean City came home with 3 world champions and the team placed 6th in the nation, which was a pretty good showing, considering the fact that Ocean City at that time had no boats or paddle boards and thus could not participate in the events involving that equipment.

		I like the east coast of Florida for the "ocean", compared to the gulf side (except Panhandle, the waves are "ocean-like".
		As much as I would love to be on the ocean, I think it is best to choose a place on schools, job commute and comfort.
