  Ocean Odyssey - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Ocean Odyssey was a self-propelled, semi-submersible drilling rig which was rebuilt as a mobile spacecraft launch platform and is currently used by Sea Launch for equatorial Pacific Ocean launches.
However, it was renamed to the Ocean Odyssey after the Ocean Ranger capsized during a storm off Newfoundland.
In May 1997, the Ocean Odyssey arrived at Kværner Vyborg Shipyard for the installation of the launch vehicle equipment itself.

The Odyssey is in her element, sailing at a steady 7 - 8 knots.
The Indian ocean is strikingly different from the Atlantic and Pacific oceans in that it does not reach north into cold polar waters.
However, it is known that this ocean has the longest, natural, straight-line feature on the planet (both on land or in the sea), the so-called "Ninety Degree Ridge." It is an undersea mountain range that runs nearly due North and South for over 2000 nautical miles.

 Odyssey Marine Exploration: Deep Ocean Shipwreck Archaeology Recovery
Odyssey re-opened its Shipwreck & Treasure Adventure - the Company's first ever shipwreck attraction - at Jax Brewery in the heart of New Orleans's French Quarter on Wednesday, February 15, 2006.
Odyssey announced it has begun operations on the shipwreck site believed to be HMS Sussex.
The Odyssey Explorer is now conducting the initial phases of Odyssey's Sussex project plan previously approved by the Government of the United Kingdom, the first agreement of its kind.
