At a news conference held Tuesday in Rio de Janeiro, OceanAir Lineas Aereas and Peruvian investment fund Fondo de Inversiones Sustentables announced the creation of Wayra Peru, which is slated to start operations in March.
OceanAir is a unit of Brazil's Grupo Synergy that also owns the local Brazilian oil firm Maritima Petroleo e Engenharia and Colombian airline Aerovias Nacionales de Colombia S.A., or Avianca.
In November, OceanAir got final approval from a U.S. bankruptcy court judge to take a 75-per-cent-stake in Colombia's Avianca that had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in March of 2003 due to slumping demand and rising fuel costs.

The National Biodiesel Board no longer lists them on their producers page (www.biodiesel.org/buyingbiodiesel/producers_marketers/default.shtm), and OceanAir's own website (www.oceanairenvironmental.com) no longer exists.
A few years ago they were the largest biodiesel producer in all of North America, and yet they have just disappeared off the face of the earth.
They were originally called NOPEC, I think, and went bankrupt and then re-emerged under new management as OceanAir Environmental, but it seems they must not have been managed any better in that second incarnation.
