Assembly elections in Maharashtra and Arunachal Pradesh will be held on October 13 and 7, respectively, the election commission said on Tuesday.
By-elections to four Lok Sabha and 41 assembly seats in 14 states will be held on October 13, it said.
The term of the Maharashtra assembly was to expire on October 20, and that of Arunchal on October 12, where the assembly was dissolved on July 6.
