At least Jim Edgar, whom I think most would agree was the last good govenor the State had (Republican) got the state's fiscal house in better shape when he came into office in the 1980's, and he had a lot less to work with, and had to compromise with a Democratic controlled legislature.
Thanks for the cogent response, I never took the responses from the 'regulars' as a stoning, but I did think that your multiple choice response was right on target, though I did not read it till after I had already responded, which made it all the more 'on target'.
I hope her audience catches on that she's touting communication with, and understanding of, foreign cultures as an innovative idea that suddenly came to her during her recent trip to the Middle East.
