		I could go on for hours about how they have the most personality out of any metal (or rock) band in our current day and age, all the obscure Beatles references they throw in their music, how Peter Steele is a misunderstood genius, but this would just make me sound really gay.
		October Rust was one of the last albums I bought from the band's catalogue.
		October Rust takes things down a notch, losing the heft and heavier influence that Bloody Kisses and Slow Deep and Hard had and going for a more accessible, gothic rock touch to it, much like you would find in Moonspell's or Tiamat's earlier catalogues.

		Most of OCTOBER RUST in fact sounds like Paradise Lost spoofing Danzig, eschewing traditional satanic rock-outs for proto-primeval dirges with pagan, back-to-nature sensibilities.
		If it sounds ridiculous, IT IS. And while tunes like "Burnt Flowers Fallen," "Green Man," "In Praise of Bacchus" and the staggeringly bad "Be My Druidess" may prove of passing interest to professional gardeners and new age tree-huggers, one suspects even they may be driven mad by the remorseless monotony of the music.
		Not only is the album "October Rust" beautiful, but it brings out deep emotions that we all store inside and rarely let out.

		Type O Negative's World Coming Down is perhaps grungier and a bit more humorous than October Rust in parts but all in all, they are pretty similar.
		Steele's lyrics still focus on gothic topics such as paranormal experiences, death, and various things of that sort.
