Odakyu Electric Railway Co., Ltd. has grown steadily through the operation of railway lines in the Tokyo metropolitan area since its foundation as Odawara Express Railway Co., Ltd. in 1923.
Odakyu has four railway lines: Odawara line, Enoshima line, Tama line and Mukogaokayuen monorail line.
Odakyu has been expanding their railway services; it joined Hakone Tozan Railway Co., Ltd. in 1950, JR Gotenba line in 1955 and Chiyoda line of Teito Rapid Transit Authority in 1978.
