The result was Project ODIN, a multi-year effort that uses mainframe SQL middleware and workstation query tools to provide end users with self-initiated access to institutional data presently stored on the host in a number of different data structures, including DB2, FOCUS, and VSAM.
While the major benefits of Project ODIN are still a number of years away, the very real benefits already delivered by the system have won a number of enthusiastic supporters across the campus.

The software comes in a package that includes a server, a reader and tags, plus a 21-step process—based on an International Organization for Standardization methodology—to follow for determining the best place to put a tag on a particular product.
The software controls the reader and has device read the tag 5,000 times in each channel the reader can operate in within the allowed UHF frequency range of 902 to 928 MHz.
ODIN says that it typically costs a supplier $1,000 to $3,000 to test an individual SKU to determine the right tag placement to meet a customer's mandate and that the Trifecta software will greatly reduce that figure.

If you have a CD with Windows software which hold files with a ~ in their name then the Joliet support is probably not active.
This is not because it will cause problems for ODIN, but because a lot of Windows programs assume that the system directories are situated on the C partition and therefore try to copy and configure all kinds of files to the C-partition.
Using ODIN these DLLs are mostly placed within the system32 directory, BUT some Windows programs have an extremely unpleasant installation program that doesn't follow a normal installation procedure and dumps all kinds of DLLs in your OS/2 system directories.
