		Born in present-day Saitama Prefecture, Ogawa Kazuma (his name can also be read as Kazumasa and Isshin) was introduced to photography by a British missionary while he was at school in Tokyo in 1873.
		This project, like many of Ogawa's publications, was intended for a Western market and reflected both a domestic revival of traditional Japanese culture at the end of the nineteenth century and mounting interest in things Japanese in the West.
		Ogawa's photographs of Japan's art treasures, particularly his series of ancient Japanese temples, found a domestic audience as well through the fine-arts magazine Kokka (National Essence), established in 1889, which was printed by Ogawa's photoengraving company, the Ogawa Shashin Seihanjo.

		Emphasizing one train ride is important because sometimes you need to transfer on to different trains, which is very common, just to get to your destination and that can definitely make getting there longer to get to and a bit annoying in my opinion.
