Ogori Municipal Offices to Open One Sunday a Month
The municipal offices of Ogori, Fukuoka Prefecture, will open on the third Sunday of every month in a trial starting this month to provide services for the citizens related to family registers, resident cards, income verification, and other matters.
The city is opening its offices on Sundays because 65% of the workers and students who live in Ogori commute daily to either Fukuoka City or Kurume and are unable to attend to these matters on a weekday.

Dateline: FUKUOKA, Feb. 2 The world's oldest man is Japan's 112-year-old Yukichi Chuganji, who lives in Ogori, Fukuoka Prefecture, following the death of Antonio Todde, an Italian who held the title, in early January.
Chuganji was notified by the Guinness World Records in late January through the municipal government office that he has been recognized as the oldest man alive, said his daughter, Kyoko, 72, with whom he lives.
