Oklahoma is bounded on the east by Arkansas and Missouri, on the north by Kansas and northwest by Colorado (both at 37°N), on the far west by New Mexico (at 103°W), and on the south and near-west by Texas.
Oklahoma's natural terrain is very diverse, ranging from oak and hickory mixed forest in the wetter eastern part of the state, to the post oak and fljack oak savannah territory of the Cross Timbers, to the plains and semi-arid regions of western Oklahoma and the panhandle.
Oklahoma is unusual in that it has two courts of last resort, the state Supreme Court hears civil cases, and the state Court of Criminal Appeals hears criminal cases (the state of Texas uses a similar system).

As of 2006, the highway's northern terminus is in Kittson County, Minnesota at the Canadian border, where it continues as Provincial Highway 75.
The portion south of Interstate 345 continues as Texas State Highway 310 through the south side of Dallas to a terminus with Interstate 45.
The stretch of US 75 between Interstate 30 and the Oklahoma state line has numbered exits; however, they are numbered in consecutive numerical order from 1-73 (though A and B designations are used in some places), not corresponding to mile markers.

 Improving Oklahoma’s Transportation Infrastructure Could Create Rural Economic Development Opportunities
OKLAHOMA CITY (November 18, 2003) -- “If you drove to this building today, you crossed a functionally obsolete or structurally deficient bridge,” the state transportation director told members of a rural area task force meeting in the state Capitol.
Gary Ridley, director of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, was referring to inadequate bridges and hazardous road surfaces that could pose major problems in attracting and sustaining economic development in rural areas of the state.
The state’s eight-year improvement plan is funded entirely with federal funds, Ridley said, adding that Oklahoma may be the only state in the nation that uses no state dollars for new construction.
