Olaf III Guthfrithson (OIr Amlaíb mac Gofraidh), (died 941), a member of the Norse-Gael Uí Ímair dynasty, was king of Dublin from 934 to 941.
Olaf married the daughter of Causantín mac Áeda.
In 937, Olaf led his allies into battle against Athelstan, king of England, in the Battle of Brunanburh and was decisively defeated.

Olaf was appointed knight, first class of the St. Olav Order of Norway in 1978 and made commander of the St. Olav Order in 1985, membership in the Order is bestowed by the Norwegian King (for distinguished service to country and mankind).
Olaf and his wife settled in Maine in 1997 after having spent many summers in York, and Olaf considered Mainers to be among the finest people he had met in his travels around the world.
