Olaus Rudbeckius, senior or Olof Rudbeck (d.ä.) (1630-1702), Swedish scientist and writer, professor of medicine at Uppsala University and for several periods rector magnificus (headmaster) of the same university.
He was the son of Johannes Rudbeckius and father to Olaus Rudbeckius, junior.
Rudbeck was one of two discoverers of the lymphatic system, see history of medicine, when he was very young, and this made his career very successful.

Rudbeck should be either Olaus Rudbeckius (latin form) or Olof Rudbeck (swedish form) - not a mix.
Well, the EB1911 text is wrong :-P - the name is either Olof Rudbeck or Olaus Rudbeckius - I'd think the latin form would be the more international one, as for for instance Linnaeus.
But mostly I wanted to flag for inconsistent names before somebody went ahead and made a lot of articles with too many names in them.
