Ottawa Centre is an urban federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that has been represented in the Canadian House of Commons since 1968.
While the riding's boundaries (mainly to the south and west as the north and east borders have remained the Ottawa River and Rideau Canal, respectively) have changed over the years to account for population changes, the riding has always comprised the central areas of Ottawa, the nation's capital.
Ottawa Centre is represented in the Canadian House of Commons by Paul Dewar from the New Democratic Party (NDP).

The creation of the Old East Heritage Conservation District is being recommended by city planning staff in a report that goes to planning committee tonight (April 3) and to city council the following Monday (April 10).
Old East will become the city's third heritage conservation district, joining East Woodfield, designated in 1994, and Bishop Hellmuth, designated in 2003.
Getting to the point of final approval for the Old East designation has been a lengthy process requiring studies by consultants, input by residents, assistance from the city and support from community groups.

The community of Old Ottawa East is located on either side of Main Street, east of the Canal, west of the Rideau River, south of Sandy Hill and north of Old Ottawa South.
The Ottawa East Community Association is the volunteer run association representing the residents of the area.
The Community Activities Group (CAG) is the other community organization operating from the Old Town Hall and they are mainly concerned with recreational, educational and social programs run in the neighbourhood (at the Old Town Hall, from the school facilities and parks).

City council last week approved a bylaw creating the Old East Heritage Conservation District, a neighbourhood of 1,000 homes extending east of Adelaide Street to the west side of Quebec Street, south of the CP Rail allowance and north of Dundas Street.
Old East become London's third heritage conservation district, joining East Woodfield (approved in 1994) and Bishop Hellmuth (2003).
In East Woodfield, historic housing stock means one of the highest concentrations of Victorian and Edwardian homes in London, if not Ontario, he said.

Met with the Ottawa Citizen editorial board, picked up a few voters in a taxi for a piece to be aired on CBC’s The National, took part in a panel on TVO, and took part in the all candidates meeting at the Glebe Community Centre.
Old Ottawa South is traditionally an NDP stronghold, but a lot of the voters I talked to today knew the national consequences of their votes.
In the neighbourhood in Old Ottawa East that I visited this evening, the voters to whom I spoke held lots of different political views.

Our coalition is now considering whether to accept the recommendations of the EA as they stand, in spite of many examples of what we see as irregular and unfair procedures over the past four and a half years, or whether we ask the Ontario Minister of the Environment to reject its recommendations.
Although Highway 417, and the Ottawa Railway Station have been built in different locations, the Alta Vista Corridor was retained in the Official Plan of the City of Ottawa, and has been proposed as a roadway in various configurations and various routings over the intervening years.
Old Ottawa East would be the worst affected overall, along with those portions of Alta Vista giving directly onto the Corridor, which is now green space.

Additional information was researched and collected, with all findings summarized in a report, highlighting some of the more important trends, insights, and issues flowing out of the study.
