  Old Street - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Old Street is a street in central London that runs west to east from Clerkenwell in the London Borough of Islington to Shoreditch in the London Borough of Hackney.
The eastern half of the road is on the London Inner Ring Road and as such forms part of the boundary of the London Congestion Charge zone.
Old Street station is located on Old Street at the roundabout junction with City Road.

It is a narrow, cavernous street, only three blocks in length, strongly remindful of the streets of old Boston or London, and almost retains the aspect of sixty years ago from Nassau to Gold Streets.
The street between William and Gold on ac-count of its still being a very narrow block, leads me to believe it has the same identical width as the original Lane, and it is the narrowest block in the city with the sole exception of Thames Street.
In 1729 Ann Street boasted three dwellings, and steadily grew, for in 1742 there were seven houses, in 1744 eight houses and in 1776 at the commencement of the historic struggle, twenty houses were built, almost all being on the south side of the street.

Old Town is near the intersection of I-8 and I-5, north of downtown San Diego.
Construction of the most famous Old Town adobe began in 1827 and was completed in 1829 by Captain Jose Maria de Estudillo, commander of the San Diego presidio.
It burned in the Old Town fire of 1872 and has been reconstructed and furnished with period pieces to recreate the Racine and Laramie store, which sold cigars, tobacco and stationery, as it was in 1869.

Formidable Corinthian columns and a pair of giant doors anchor the Church's north side while the rest of the temple is enveloped by an old cemetery replete with rows of tilting tombstones that lend a Charles Addams touch to the scene.
During the British occupation of Philadelphia in 1777, the Old Pine Street Church was desecrated.
Old Pine Street Church was enlarged in 1837 and again in 1857, under the Pastorship of Thomas Brainerd, who would go on to become a fervent anti-slavery activist.

Old Pine was then occupied by the British, stripped of its pews and used as a hospital and a stable.
A renovation in the mid-1800s transformed Old Pine from Georgian to the present Greek Revival-style, covering the brick with stucco, dividing the interior into two floors and adding a large porch with Corinthian columns.
