The stadium's temporary name means ''New Old Ullevi'' and is a play on the name of the two current main stadiums of the city, Gamla Ullevi]] and UlleviNya Ullevi]].
The stadium is to replace Gamla Ullevi which was originally planned to be demolished starting 1 October]] 2006]], but paperwork has postponed the start and it is uncertain when the demolishing of the old stadium is to be commenced.
The construction was originally planned to be finished for the start of the 2008 in Swedish football2008 season]] which starts in April, but it is probable that the new stadium will not be finished until later that season.

I sat down a little bit from the fence and relaxed and then I saw an old friend of mine - Tord Nordin - sitting there with his back to the fence so I just moved over to his place and then my spot for the night was secured.
My wife and my 6 years old daughter was there to but they had got seat tickets so I didn't see them until the day after.
