		Oldmeldrum itself is built mostly of an imposing grey stone and the square is in the shadow of the imposing and very attractive town library, presumably once the town hall.
		Meldrum House's most long standing resident is said to be the ghost of a lady in green, who may or may not be the same ghost as the lady in white who appears during thunderstorms and on one occasion kissed a surprised guest.

		Oldmeldrum is an historic golf club: the game has been played here for more than 120 years.
		Lessons and practice are available in our dedicated facilities which include a short game area and driving range directly alongside the car park, the putting green which is adjacent to the club house, and the four-hole practice area between the second and eighth fairways a short walk from the club house.
		Oldmeldrum Golf Club is sited on the eastern edge of the village about a quarter of a mile from the A947, the main Aberdeen to Banff road.

		Following an initiative of the Rotary Club of Ellon, the establishment of a Rotary Club in Oldmeldrum was mooted during 1998.
		Oldmeldrum is an old established burgh in Gordon District, on the northbound A947 road from Aberdeen to Banff, approx 16 miles north-west of Aberdeen city.
		Oldmeldrum has three hotels and a number of Guest houses and B and B's, and is central to the NTS Castle Trail.
