Of Italian descent, Enrique Omar Sivori was born at San Nicolas, in Buenos Aires province, on October 2 1935.
Omar Sivori, who died on Thursday, is survived by his wife, Maria Elena, and by two sons; another son predeceased him.

Sivori was known to adapt many peculiar pieces such that he could play them, and many of these pieces, once thought absurd, have now become quite popular.
Sivori changed it from two double basses to a violin and a double bass, alternating parts and sometimes playing together in the same octave.

Omar, wouldn't you agree that a start date of Nov 29, 2000 and an end date of Feb 27, 2001 is 2 months and 28 days (not 29)?
