Fry dealt with the organization and Grant produced most of the designs but a number of artists were employed for up to three and a half days a week, including Lewis, Bomberg and Nash.
Fry was interested in creating modern design which was sympathetic to the needs and taste of the public, but which also expressed the artist's joy at creativity.
Lewis left the group in 1913 after disagreeing with Fry over plans for an Ideal Home Exhibition commission and the group was further weakened by the withdrawal of Bell and Grant in 1916 to Charleston.

There are a variety of workshops and rituals both corresponding to the liturgical seasons, as well as focusing on themes such as Dance and Spirituality, Dance as Living Scripture, Dance of the Woman's Spirit, and PeaceRites, in formats ranging from a few hours, to a full week.
