Once More, With Feeling (Buffy episode) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
After an overture with some wordless scenes of Buffy and her friends taken from a normal day (simply named "Overture"), we see Buffy patrolling in a cemetery at night, but there is something wrong with her and with the demons she meets and kills: they are all singing and dancing.
Arriving, Buffy starts to sing and dance defiantly, again expressing her current condition and the hardships of being the Slayer, when she finally reveals to Sweet and her friends that when, by resurrecting her, they had pulled her out of Heaven and not out of a hell dimension as they thought.
Other technical differences between this episode and the normal ones are its running time (50 minutes and 52 seconds instead of the usual average of 43 minutes) and its format: the episode aired in letterbox format.

It’s always wildly surprising, but the “resurrection of Buffy” episode that introduced a whole new audience on UPN was so caught up in resolving previous plot issues that it might have been a little “inside” for the casual viewer.

When she saw the episode and realized the importance of the episode and how well it was written, she came to really regret it.
IMO, i feel the show started to go downhill when the character of Dawn came on board, she drove me CRAZY as a whiny teenager, and even when she kind of got over that, she still annoyed me. Everything centered around Dawn, which ruined the focus.
Buffy demonstrates this in "The Gift." Willow and Tara take care of her after Buffy's death, and when Willow takes Dawn on her magic addiction is heartbreaking.

I'm glad the truth about Buffy's afterlife has been revealed, I think it was eating away at Buffy and keeping her from truly healing.
Buffy does in fact say "this isn't real...but i just want to feel" before they finally kiss...
And I think that because this episode directly addressed the musical issue (they were all aware and thought it was rather strange- bursting into song and dance!), I think it was good that they had the actors sing their own songs.

With over 60 six-inch action figures from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel" it struck me as rather strange that I only had two figures of the Slayer herself while having eight Willows and seven Spikes, not to mention more figures of Tara, Darla, and Cordelia than I had of Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) herself.
Since she has a pool cue that means this figure represents the first two verses of the song "Life" that comes at the climax of the episode when Buffy confronts Sweet.
When the beat changes to the hard-rock tune of the second verse ("Where there's life/There's hope") and the minions attack, Buffy grabs the pool cue from the minion, hits him, elbows the second minion, kicks, punches, strikes a couple of blows with a pool cue, and then throws it to impale the third minion.
