 Onondaga Nation
The Onondaga Nation was the Firekeeper for the Iroquois Nations.
Nearly five years ago, I had the opportunity to spend a couple of weeks on the Onondaga Reservation, near Syracuse, New York.
White Man's form of government (not the original one under the Constitution, but the administrative version we have today) has been imposed upon the Indians by subversive means.

 Onoda'gega (People of the Hills)Onondaga
If the man were a chief of the Onondaga Nation, he would wear attached to his feathered hat deer antlers that symbolize his authority as one of the fourteen chiefs of the Nation.
The Onondaga call themselves Onoda'gega, sometimes spelled Onontakeka, which means People of the Hills, or Onondagaono (The People of the Hills).
If one reads the belt by looking at the belt southward, then the Onondaga are represented by the symbol of the heart, for Onondaga is the center (Heart) of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.

THE MOHAWK NATION COUNCIL & THE GREAT LAW OF PEACE
As mothers of all nations on Mother Earth, certain Clan Mothers of each clan are given the responsibility of maintaining the harmony and balance within the clans and nations, by being the guardian over the names to prevent duplication of names, and to prevent competition over the rights of leadership positions.
The words carried by the Peacemaker provided that with Kaianaraserakowa, the nations could then assemble in meetings, where truthfulness, hope, and charity would be upheld and this Peace would unite the people.
It also marks the end of an era of war chief leadership positions, which were extinguished by the birth of the Great Law of Peace within the Five Nations Confederacy.

Businesses that have existed for ten years are now subject to the rules established by the Council of Chiefs (although I can find no enacting paperwork).
There is no security in the ability to continue operation, therefore it would be difficult for any reasonable businessman to make any long-term commitment to construct or improve property.
