Onslow College is a decile 10 co-educational state secondary school located in Johnsonville, a suburb of Wellington, New Zealand.
Onslow College was opened in 1956 on a muddy, windswept hillside overlooking Johnsonville, in response to the growing numbers of baby boom children and the rapid development of the northern suburbs of Khandallah, Johnsonville and Newlands.
Onslow is one of only two secondary schools in Wellington not to have a uniform (the other being the central-city Wellington High School, to which it is often compared, and the origin of its current principal Dr. Stuart Martin).

), is a contender for the claim to be the oldest of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, and is amongst the largest in population terms.
A specially constructed building in the College, the Shelley Memorial, houses a statue by Edward Onslow Ford of the poet Shelley – a former member of the college, who was expelled for writing The Necessity of Atheism – depicted lying dead on the Italian sea-shore.
The reading is performed by a Scholar of the College, the same person doing it for a whole week, and whoever is sitting at the head of High Table (typically the Master, but maybe just the most senior Fellow at the table if the Master is not dining).

Onslow Junior Soccer Club is one of 13 Clubs and Colleges represented in the Wellington Junior Soccer Association Grade 7 through Grade 16 leagues.
Onslow cater for Grade 7 through Grade 16 children; Grade 16 is a combined grade for 15 and 16 years olds.
There are generally enough Onslow College boys to form one or two teams in each of the 13, 14 and 15/16 Grades.

Onslow opened on a bare windswept hill in the suburbs as a new co-ed secondary school in 1956 in response to the population pressures of the baby boom which was then at its height.
Onslow became one of first to have a student council (also a woman as chair of the Board of Trustees).
Onslow has continued to foster responsible, independent learners and this is reflected in the current school vision: ‘We will be satisfied when all students are challenged to achieve personal standards of excellence in an environment that encourages individual responsibility, freedom of expression and respect for the rights of others’.

The people of Onslow County, by referendum in the fall of 1965, voted for a seven-cents-per-hundred-dollars evaluation on property for the center.
Onslow Technical Institute was granted community college status July 1, 1970, and became Coastal Carolina Community College.

Onslow had 15 teams entered in 11 grades for the 2006/07 season making it one of the largest clubs in Wellington and the Hutt Valley.
Onslow won two grades (Senior Women and 2D) as well as having four representatives in the Wellington Firebirds Squad (mens) and several more in the Wellington Blaze (womens).
While most of the Saturday matches in the UK involving Onslow players were affected by rain, Neal Parlane made the most of things as he notched his second hundred of the English Summer, compiling 127 runs for West Herts in their abandoned match against Sawbridgeworth.

Sprint orienteering, which is now a part of both senior and junior World Championships, has short courses, typically based in an urban/parkland environment, for which the navigational challenge is much less but the requirements for speed are much increased.
The College Sport Wellington Championships are the major event of the CSW season.
