It is a privilege for me to be appointed the Chair of Management Board of Cabinet – the cabinet committee that manages the government’s resources – and to be named the minister responsible for Management Board Secretariat.
Management Board Secretariat (MBS) plays a very important role in the delivery of government services to the people of Ontario.
As Chair of Management Board of Cabinet I will work with my colleagues to ensure consistency in operating and capital spending and make responsible decisions regarding policy direction and government procurement.

 Ontario Asparagus Growers' Marketing Board
The Board employs a modified fund accounting method whereby its fixed assets and rental assets are not capitalized on the balance sheet and depreciated over their useful lives.
During the year, the Ontario Asparagus Growers' Marketing Board expensed net of grants $1,374 ($2,590 in 2003) of fixed asset and lugs and realized $24,422 ($NIL in 2003) on the sale of lugs and $NIL ($1,121 in 2003) on the sale of fixed assets during the year.
The board rents its office premises in accordance with a lease agreement shared with the Ontario Ginseng Growers Association for $450 per mouth on a net basis until February 28, 2006.

Appointed to the OMB in December 1997 and most recently serving as vice-chair of the OMB and ARB, Hubbard has agreed to be the interim chair of both boards until a new chair is selected.

Butterworth practised law in the Town of Perth from 1972 until 2002 and is a past councillor of the Township of North Elmsley, past member and chair of the Town of Perth planning board, and past chair of the committee of adjustment for the Township of North Elmsley.
